What kind of person is Mr. Nakajima?
In this memorable first installment, we will focus on Mr. Nakajima's career.
Ito ---
When starting the “Tell me Mr. Nakajima” project, first of all, who is Mr. Nakajima? I think it's going to be a story. Since this is the first time, I would like to start by letting the students know about Mr. Nakajima. Mr. Nakajima is the person who has experienced the largest number of occupations at Hitachi Automobile Transportation, so to speak, he is like a mirror for new graduates. I think this should be a goal for job hunting students as well. I myself have been indebted to Mr. Nakajima both at work and in my private life, but I feel an absolute sense of trust and security in Mr. Nakajima. is. Maybe a little too much praise. (lol)
Nakajima ---
do you say it yourself (lol)
Ito ---
There may be a place where it was a little too good. First, please tell us about your current job.
Nakajima ---
Currently, I work as a taxi department operation manager and sales manager. Regarding my career so far, I joined the company in 2012, and this is my eighth year. I worked as a driver for the first three years, followed by a taxi for a year and a half, and then a bus for welfare transportation for a total of three years. For the first three years, I drove a variety of vehicles and carried a variety of customers. From the fourth year onwards, I became the operation manager of the taxi department. I am involved in driver labor management, instruction and education, handling of accidents and complaints, and recruitment work.
Ito ---
You also do a lot of training for new graduates, right?
Nakajima ---
Yes, of course, I'm taking a good care of them.
Ito ---
You also managed the operation of the bus, right?
Nakajima ---
It was a short period of time. in the middle of the third year. There was a period of time when I returned to the field, feeling that I still lacked experience as a driver, after working as an operation manager for the bus department for three months.
Ito ---
It would not be an exaggeration to say that all of Hitachi Automobile Transportation's operations are covered.
Nakajima ---
Well, I think there are various other things in detail, but if you look at it roughly as a field, it may be so.
Ito ---
Do you want new graduates to do the same?
Nakajima ---
I guess it depends on each person. Some people want to try various things, and I think it's good to master one's favorite path. However, in my case, I was a first-year student, so I thought that having various experiences would be a plus for the development of my juniors, so I challenged myself in various fields.
Ito ---
cool···. Way to go.
Nakajima ---
Again! (laughs) You really like giving too much credit.
Ito ---
I think you've built up a lot of careers so far, but do you have a future career plan or something you're looking ahead to?
Nakajima ---
I want to try something different than what I have done so far. I'm still doing basic work as an operation manager, but now I want to challenge things I haven't been involved in before, such as going to hotels and doing public relations on YouTube.
Ito ---
I know you are helping the sales team, too. And also YouTube.
Nakajima ---
oh yeah.
Ito ---
I would like to try being a taxi driver. How about a taxi? Is it interesting?
Nakajima ---
You should do it.
Ito ---
Can you tell me how to make money?
Nakajima ---
Ou. If the knowledge from 7 years ago is fine. (lol)
Ito ---
7 years old knowledge! (LOL) If I can work under Mr. Nakajima, it's totally fine.
Nakajima ---
I promise to double your current salary.
Ito ---
Double! It's xx million now. Oh, I said (Laughs) Eh, double!
Nakajima ---
Double may be an exaggeration, but well, 1.5 times.
Ito ---
That's amazing. You were earning a lot.
Nakajima ---
I want to teach them how to make money, and the overall fun of being a taxi driver. If I teach them how to make money, I think they will naturally understand the fun of working in a taxi. There are various aspects of good work, so I would like to teach them.
Ito ---
Taxi, I want to try it.
Nakajima ---
See you next month. Please apply now.
Ito ---
Next time, I would like to ask you to tell us about the reality of the taxi industry in detail for new graduates.
Nakajima ---
Understood.
Ito ---
So, this time I introduced Mr. Nakajima's career. thank you very much!
